The Kuraginsky registry office congratulated the spouses Victor and Natalya Balandin on their emerald wedding. The couple had been married for 55 years.
The future spouses were introduced by Victor’s sister Balandina. Natalya came to Siberia with her parents from Sevastopol for the construction of the Abakan-Taishet highway. The Balandin family officially registered the marriage on May 15, 1971. On the same day, the couple came to the registry office to register the birth of their first daughter, Irina, and immediately got married. The celebration took place modestly, in a narrow family circle.
Later, two more children were born into the family: son Alexey and daughter Olesya. Now the couple has 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Victor Balandin worked on the railway all his life. He went from assistant driver to driver. Natalya Balandina worked as a nanny in a kindergarten.
The registry office noted that the Balandin family is an example of strong family and work traditions.
