The two teams went into the final day's decisive clash separated by 3 points in Differdange's favour, meaning a single win would have been enough for Bissen to clinch the title.
Both teams created a few chances early on, but the score remained unchanged at the end of the first 45 minutes.
Bissen found the decisive goal early in the second half. After a corner, Louis Marasi rose in the box and headed home from close range to make it 1-0.
It was enough for the team that was playing in the third tier of Luxembourg football 2 seasons ago to beat the reigning champions 1-0 and become champions for the first time in history.
Although they finished tied, the difference was goal difference. Bissen had +43, while Differdange had +41.
At the end of the game, the fans entered the field to celebrate the historic triumph.

It means a lot. We have been working for ten months. At first, of course, we didn't think about the title, but week after week, victory after victory, we realized that we can achieve great things together.
Last year we were playing in the second division, so of course that means a lot to everyone. Everyone can find something in our story, because the small can become the big.

After winning the title, Bissen will represent Luxembourg in the preliminaries of the Champions League and, in the first round, they can face Universitatea Craiova, the champion of Romania.
