
Former governor of the Kirov region Nikita Belykh was released from pre-trial detention center No. 1.
On June 24, 2016, he was caught red-handed while handing over part of a bribe in one of the Moscow restaurants. On July 28 of the same year, Vladimir Putin by decree removed Belykh from the post of governor due to loss of trust. On February 1, 2018, the Presnensky Court of Moscow found Belykh guilty and sentenced him to eight years in a maximum security colony, as well as a fine of more than 48 million rubles. Belykh was transferred to pre-trial detention center No. 1 from Ryazan IK-5.
