Emma Navarro (25 years, 39 WTA) is the new champion from Strasbourg, managing to win the title after a 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 victory over Victoria Mboko (19 years, 9 WTA). So, the American will go to Paris, to Roland Garros, with high morale, after having an extremely complicated period.

“To be able to come out of that place and win a title in my third tournament back on the circuit … I've only been out for a few months but it felt like a long time,” she added.

“I haven't looked at the board too much. I know who I'm playing in the first round, but more than that I haven't looked too much, so I'm going to take it match by match. I'm going to be as prepared as I can be on Tuesday and try to play like that and enjoy myself,” explained Navarro.
