Stelian Tănase, a harsh message for the liberals: “You allowed yourself to be enslaved by Iohannis, you went there to lick the doorknobs so that he would give you a job”
The writer Stelian Tănase stated, on Friday, at a debate organized by the PNL, that the liberals allowed themselves to be “enslaved” by the former president Klaus Iohannis and went “to lick the doorknobs” to receive “a job, a ministry”. He criticized the liberals for becoming “a presidential party, but a second-rate one.” Tănase believes that those who made those decisions should be kicked out of the party, writes News.ro.
Stelian Tănase declared on Friday, at the debate organized on the 151st anniversary of the establishment of the PNL, that the liberals must analyze the things achieved in the last ten years.
“You should have this discussion about what stupid things you have done in the last ten years and maybe even more. How you allowed yourself to be enslaved by Iohannis, how you went there to lick the doorknobs so that he would give you a job, a ministry, a business or something. And how some of your comrades from the party went to Cotroceni and came to the meetings, to the party, and said “That's what Mr. President said”. In the first It's not that he didn't say that Iohannis wanted to do politics. In his first term, he bathed it,” said Stelian Tănase.
He claimed that the PNL made some mistakes that could not come from a mature party.
“You have resigned, first of all morally, and you have become a kind of presidential party, but a second-class one. Like I was chasing the dog after me on the street. I couldn't believe that you were falling into such an ambush. A party with mature people, with smart people, many of whom I knew, should have such weaknesses,” Stelian Tănase said.
He asked the liberals how they reacted when the orders came from the Cotroceni Palace.
“I heard many friends from the PNL, we know each other, most of us know each other well, saying that: Cotroceniul decided and I couldn't believe how Cotroceniul decided. And what did you do? Did you raise your paw? Did you agree when it was discussed in the party that we agree with what Mr. President said?”, added Stelian Tănase.
That's the problem, that he would be guilty of meddling and appointing three of our party presidents. He named them, not you. But what were you there? Were you a plank, were you made of Tănase wood, were you a railroad sleeper? Weren't you a conscience, weren't you a vote?

He believes that those who were involved in those decisions should be kicked out of the party.
“You have to expel and sanction those who were most involved in these decisions. You have some lists of party officials. You have the voting lists. You know each other very well and those must be eliminated because they are harmful. Or they come from somewhere else. I don't have a conspiracy mentality, but games like this are still being played. But those who are responsible must be eliminated because they will repeat the same games and their weakness will make them do and compromises. So you have to get rid of them, if you want to have a clean party”, Stelian Tănase said.
