Norilsk resident convicted of throwing a fake grenade at a policeman

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a resident of Norilsk was convicted of threat of violence against a government official.

The incident occurred in a hotel-type apartment building. It was established that the drunk manseeing that a uniformed policeman was entering the public corridor, threw a dummy hand fragmentation grenade in his direction.

“The police officer had every reason to fear that the threat of violence against him would be carried out, since it was not possible to distinguish the dummy grenade used by the defendant from its combat version on the spot,” the joint press service of the courts said.

The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and imposed a fine of 150,000 rubles.
