Florin Răducioiu (56 years old), the former great striker, was asked at an event that took place this evening, about what is happening these days at FCSB and Dinamo.

About the new “principal” of the FCSB, Răducioiu declared: “I don't know Marius Baciu, only from television, where he was an analyst, an expert.”

Then he also scored: “I don't know him as a coach and I can't comment on his qualities. If I don't know him, I can't say much. We can give our opinion in 10-12 rounds after we see the work he will do.”

“My soul is always with Dinamo”

And he is confident in the chances that Dinamo will catch the preliminaries for Europe this summer, possibly after a match with the great rival, Răducioiu pointed out:

“My soul is always with Dinamo and they proved that they are hard to beat! I would like a match with FCSB because it would be a derby, even if not like the old ones. Dinamo has more chances to win if they reach the play-off with FCSB! And, automatically, to go to Europe!”.

When are play-offs for the European Cups played?

  • May 24, 20:30 FCSB – FC Botoșani
  • May 29, 20:30 Dinamo – FCSB / FC Botoșani

Gigi Becali asked me to be the man he expects me to be, captain Marius Baciu, the Baciu man, I will be supported from all points of view, that's what we discussed. I liked how he posed the problem, there are times when maybe nobody does anything. He considered that my past at Steaua, the current FCSB, made me leave my mark

Marius Baciu, FCSB coach

Who was the player Marius Baciu

  • Marius Baciu has coached, throughout his career, several formations from Romania and abroad: Vointa Sibiu, Pandurii Targu Jiu, Unirea Alba Iulia, Silvania Simleu Silvaniei, CSMS Iasi, FC Vaslui (second coach), SC Bacau / Gauss Bacau, Academica Arges / FC Clinceni, Concordia Chiajna, Daco-Getica Bucuresti / Juventus Bucuresti, Turris Turnu Magurele, Sohar, Al-Taqadom and FC Pausesti-Otasau.
  • Baciu performed for six seasons, between 1996 and 2002, for Steaua Bucharest, collecting 140 matches in the championship and scoring 8 goals, despite the defensive role.
  • He was also captain of the team, wearing the armband at a time when the club was in full reconstruction, being one of the leaders of the locker room before Mirel Radoi's generation.
  • In the red-blue shirt, Baciu won 3 Romanian championship titles (1996-1997, 1997-1998 and 2000-2001) and a Romanian Cup in 1999. In 2002, his relationship with the club deteriorated after he refused to extend his contract, being sent to the second team, before the transfer to France, to Lille.
