After being accused by Grindeanu of being in the “campaign”, Bolojan replied: “He doesn't have the perception that if you work, you do it naturally, but you only have to be in the campaign”

Ilie Bolojan, interim prime minister and PNL leader, denied that his actions were part of a plan to run for the next presidential elections and said about Sorin Grindeanu, PSD leader, that “he does not have the perception that if you work you do it naturally, but you only have to be in the electoral campaign when you work”.

After being accused by Sorin Grindeanu of being “in the presidential election campaign”, Ilie Bolojan declared, on Wednesday evening, on B1 TV, that “the idea of being in an election campaign is false”.

“I always, as I told you, work from morning to evening, but it seems that Mr. Grindeanu doesn't have the perception that if you work you do it naturally, but you only have to be in the electoral campaign when you work, or this is not the case. The fact that a prime minister communicates regularly, that's what I did in all nine months while I was prime minister and I did it with a certain regularity, first of all, out of respect for people, to be able to answer questions and to convey their messages”, said the PNL leader.

“Bolojan is not an obstacle in the formation of a majority”

Ilie Bolojan also responded to the social democrat's accusation that he is “blocking the finding of a solution” because he “continues to cling to his positions”.

“Bolojan is not today an obstacle in the formation of a majority”, declared the liberal, accusing the PSD, “the party that dynamited the coalition irresponsibly”, that “it proves that today, unfortunately, it has no solutions”.

He reiterated that PSD and AUR, the parties that dismissed the Government through a no-confidence motion, “have a moral responsibility to come up with the solutions.”

“I don't make assessments about what Mr. President should do, but in a political logic the Social Democratic Party initiated this motion of censure together with the AUR and, by succeeding in dismissing the Government, they proved that they are able to form a majority. The parties that remained in the coalition, PNL, USR, UDMR, when they failed to resist this motion, proved that they do not have the ability, at least this is the current picture, to make a majority”, the dismissed prime minister also said.

Grindeanu had accused him of “being in the campaign”

Also on Wednesday, at “Adevărul LIVE”, the PSD leader said about the PNL leader that “he is in the presidential election campaign”, but he should “take a break for a few weeks, let's form the Government”.

At the same time, he accused him of “continuing to cling to his positions” and “blocking the finding of a solution” for the formation of a new Government.

“Who is still clinging to the positions is one man, Ilie Bolojan, who is holding USR captive. He is effectively USR captive. I was even asking some representatives from USR if they realize that their president is no longer Fritz, it is Ilie Bolojan,” Sorin Grindeanu said.
