A recent Russian missile attack targeted a data center in Kyiv, impacting communications services throughout Ukraine. In Lutsk, electronic information displays at public transport stops have temporarily ceased operations due to the damage caused by the attack.
According to Datagroup, none of their employees were harmed in the incident, and customer data remains secure. The company has activated backup systems to ensure continued service while assessing the extent of the damage and working on restoring infrastructure.
The Lutsk City Council has confirmed that specialists are also engaged in restoring local services and infrastructure affected by the technical disruptions. The electronic displays at public transport stops will resume once operations stabilize.
To assist residents in tracking public transport, the council recommends using the CityCard mobile application and other apps like City Bus and EasyWay.
Contextual updates indicate that on September 23, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported that around 100,000 households faced internet issues due to the Russian strikes. On the same day, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that the attacks aim to disrupt information flow within the country by targeting major data centers.
Furthermore, on September 24, presidential advisor for defense technology development, Serhiy Beskrestnov, indicated that while localized internet outages could occur as a result of the attacks, a complete nationwide internet blackout is unlikely.
