There were 150 passengers traveling in the overturned carriages. Preliminarily, 15 people were injured – all of them had minor cuts from glass and injuries from impacts on shelves and tables. There are no fatalities.
In total, 232 people were heading to Novorossiysk from Vorkuta. The train consisted of 14 carriages, 9 of which overturned.
The road near the accident site has been washed out, and emergency services are trying to drive through mud and slush.
