In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, family and children assistance centers continue to be modernized. Currently, renovations are underway in three institutions in Krasnoyarsk, the region’s Ministry of Social Policy reported.

The official symbol of such centers will be a sunflower. It is used as a sign of a place where families can get help. The work is being carried out at the Regional Family Center at 17 Pavlovna Street, as well as at the “Trust” social assistance centers for families and children at 188 Sportivnaya Street and “Nadezhda” at 30 Zheleznodorozhnikov Street.

Help is provided in person and remotely. Educational psychologists, rehabilitation specialists and speech therapists work with families. In some institutions, children can temporarily reside if parents are undergoing treatment, on a business trip, or if the issue of limiting parental rights is being decided. Also in a number of territories there are social hotels for young women with children left without the support of loved ones. The centers are gradually introducing new work formats. These include “family Saturdays”, flexible schedules, social nanny services, “family living rooms” and workshops.

“The modernization of family centers is directly related to the implementation of the Family national project. Transformations of institutions, taking into account a unified approach to organizing space and the list of social services provided, are aimed at increasing the accessibility and quality of assistance provided, creating a favorable environment for the development and well-being of each family,” said Irina Pastukhova, Minister of Social Policy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

It is planned to completely update the network of such institutions in the region by 2030. In total, there are 15 specialized centers for helping families and children in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. More than 40 thousand families go there every year. Among them are large families, families with disabled children, single-parent families and families in difficult situations.
