George Pușcaș (30 years old) came out in the 38th minute the match between Dinamo and CFR Cluj, 0-0complaining of pain in the right thigh. After the game, he reassured fans about the immediate period ahead, but did not rule out surgery to treat the more serious problem he has been dealing with for a long time, which is the inguinal hernia.
Last stage, at 2-1 with FC Argeș, Pușcaș scored his first goal for Dinamo. The experienced striker was unable to help his team today as well, in a match where the “dogs” needed a win to hope for 3rd place.

Coming off in the 38th minute, Pușcaș explained that “I felt a sting on my thigh. Given that the minutes had accumulated and that I was forcing myself with the problems I have, I said to go out as a precautionnot to be worse”.
Regarding the qualifier for the Conference League preliminaries, in which Dinamo will face the winner between FCSB and FC Botoșani, Pușcaș assured the supporters that “I am optimistic, I don't plan on missing there, but I need to get an MRI or whatever to see exactly what's wrongthen we will make the decision. I don't think it's anything bad, but we'll see.”
George Pușcaș does not rule out hernia surgery: “I can't continue with anti-inflammatories”
Asked about the inguinal hernia he is dealing with, if he will resort to surgery after the end of this season, Pușcaș answered as follows:
“I'm thinking about solving the problem. I don't know what it is, I'll make whatever decision is necessary as it is. Let's see what other doctors think, if I can get it out without surgery, if I have to have a hernia operation. It's not difficult, but I'll have to solve it.
I can't go on anti-inflammatories, drugs and so on. I will also take into account the schedule, but first of all I am thinking of finishing the season well. The important thing is to start the next season well, not to have pain anymore”.
“We are preparing for the play-off, that is our goal. We have one more game, we will treat it seriously and then we will do it in such a way that we will be very well prepared for the play-off.
I think we gave everything with all the players we have available, with all the effort we put in. Today we tried to win, we dominated the game, we had opportunities, but they didn't want to go into the goal. Now we are preparing for the dam”, Pușcaș also stated.
