Scandal and threats in Timiș. A man pulled a knife on his father and used his three children to make it difficult for the police to intervene
A 31-year-old man from Timiș county is being investigated for three crimes of insult, after a scandal broke out in his family's home. There, he allegedly threatened his father and other family members, verbally but also with a knife, in the presence of his three children. Moreover, he used the presence of children to make it difficult for the police to act, but without being violent with them.

The incident took place in the village of Cliciova, Bethausen commune. A 61-year-old man notified the authorities, claiming that his son threatens him with acts of violence, according to the Timiș County Police Inspectorate, quoted by News.ro.
Arriving at the scene, the police found that the suspect was in the yard of the house with the three children. When the law enforcement officers tried to talk to him to clarify the situation, he refused to cooperate, became verbally aggressive and, at one point, reportedly pulled out a knife, making threats.
To manage the situation, the police requested the intervention of a negotiator and the support of the crews of the Special Actions Service from IPJ Timiș.
According to the investigators, throughout the intervention, the man used the presence of the children to hinder the action of the law enforcement, but without using violence on them.
Following negotiations and the intervention of specialized crews, the suspect was immobilized and taken to the Police headquarters for questioning.
At the same time, his wife and three children were taken out of the courtyard of the house safely.
Family members refused to complete the risk assessment form and issue a temporary protection order, as well as file a threat complaint.
However, the duty prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor's Office attached to the Făget Court filed an ex officio complaint for three offenses of insult. Also, the representatives of DGASPC Timiș were informed to arrange the necessary protective measures for the mother and children, the law enforcement officers said.
