“One of the things he agreed to today is an order for 200 planes,” Trump told Fox News. “Boeing wanted 150, got 200,” added the US president, who is visiting China.
“200 large planes (…). That's a lot of jobs,” Trump said.

Major business deals or purchases are often announced during summits between China and the United States. This time, before the leaders' meeting, there was much talk about a large order for Boeing.

Boeing's CEO told Reuters in April that Boeing was counting on the Trump administration to help unlock a long-awaited large order from China.
China and Boeing are in long-running talks on a deal that could include 500 737 MAX planes and dozens of wide-body planes with GE engines, according to industry sources. It would be Boeing's first major order in the country since 2017.
The US president took big business to Beijing
Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg was among the American businessmen who came to Beijing with Trump.
Many other CEOs of large American companies also flew to China, including CEO Elon Musk Apple Tim Cook or Larry Culp z GE Aerospace.
Donald Trump's visit to China
Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday and will remain there until Friday. On Thursday, he met with Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People, and then the two leaders visited the Temple of Heaven together. Later, the US president attended a state banquet held in his honor.
Trump's last meeting with China's president was in October in South Korea, where they agreed to halt a fierce trade war that has seen the United States impose triple-digit tariffs on Chinese goods and Beijing threaten to limit the global supply of rare earth elements.
