A Russian man caused a panic because of a crocodile in the river, which was reported to him by a “virtual voice assistant on the Internet”
Specialists from the Kuban Ministry of Natural Resources had to climb into the Kirpili River. The water was examined on a boat using thermal imagers and lighting devices.

As a result of the raid, no dangerous exotic animals were identified in the river. At the place indicated by the eyewitness, characteristic attacks of the Caucasian otter and muskrat were found.
A turtle with a split shell was also found in the river. During the inspection it was established that the animal died from the propeller of a small boat
– the officials said.

No one from the locals saw the crocodile either, from which the Ministry of Natural Resources concluded that “the information about the presence of a crocodile in the river has not been confirmed.”
And, according to him, a virtual voice assistant on the Internet helped a resident of the Derben settlement to identify the river inhabitant from afar from the bridge.
