The boy rescued at the border from Lake Chitila was picked up by the SMURD helicopter


Intervention at the limit, on Thursday, to save the 15-year-old boy who jumped into Lake Chitila to save a girl who had slipped into the water. As soon as he was pulled ashore and resuscitated, he was picked up by the SMURD helicopter and transported to the Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital.

The incident occurred on May 14, after a 16-year-old girl slipped into the lake and the boy jumped into the water to try to save her, although he did not know how to swim.

When the intervention crews arrived, the girl had already been brought to shore and was conscious, being taken over by the medical personnel for care. Instead, the boy was searched for several minutes by the divers who arrived on the scene.

ISU representatives stated that the rescue operation was a complex one, carried out with several specialized teams.
