Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich came under attack by Russian Shahed near Kovel, Volyn region. She wrote about this on May 13 in Threads.
“We didn’t make it, fortunately, only a couple of kilometers before the shelling. The train was stopped, an evacuation took place, drones were flying overhead, complete trash. It’s good that it wasn’t in a field, but near a small station,” she wrote.
The singer said that she had to wait almost four hours for the air raid to end.
“And here we are at the station in Kovel. I’ll say briefly – today we were just very lucky not to get to Kovel at the time of the shelling,” she admitted. “It hurts – these are mothers with children, and the expression in the eyes of these mothers who were hugging their babies to themselves under the drones. Let these little people breathe a sigh of relief.”
