The ex-head of the Sergokalinsky district and the father of one of the terrorists who attacked Dagestan, Magomed Omarov, was detained on suspicion of money laundering on a particularly large scale. Yesterday, the man was released from administrative arrest for 10 days for petty hooliganism.
We wrote earlier that all significant positions in the region were occupied by relatives and friends of Magomed Omarov. According to Mash, the official’s nephew Amir Omarov is the head of the department of culture, sports and youth affairs. His wife's brother, Ibragim Omarov, runs a local agricultural enterprise.
