Mandatory evacuation has been announced in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Where should people leave?

In the Nikopol district of the Dnepropetrovsk region, mandatory evacuation from certain territories was announced. The head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Administration, Alexander Ganzha, announced this on May 12 in Telegram.

They need to leave the territory within a month, Ganzha said.

Families with children are being evacuated from Novokievka and Ilyinka, Marganets urban community, and Vyshetarasovka, Mirovsky rural community. According to the head of the OVA, 34 children live there.

Also, all residents must leave one of the streets of Marganets and almost 100 streets of Nikopol. They plan to evacuate 1,145 people from there.

The time and route of evacuation are coordinated individually with each family, Ganzha added. Families will be able to stay in safer settlements of the Nikopol region, as well as in other areas of the region or even other regions. All organizational issues and support will be provided by local authorities.

“In Nikopol, city authorities plan to compensate rent for families with children who were subject to mandatory evacuation, but decided to stay in their hometown and move to safer areas,” added the head of the OVA.

According to him, deputies should consider such an initiative at an extraordinary session of the Nikopol City Council.
