Flights at Sheremetyevo Airport this morning were massively delayed due to an overnight hurricane. People waited for their planes for several hours, there was a crush at the gates, in cafes and on benches there were a bunch of tourists sleeping on their things.
According to those present, boarding for flights to Krasnoyarsk, Sochi, Magnitogorsk, the Chinese city of Sanya and others has been expected since yesterday evening. People sleep on benches, in cafes, right on suitcases. By morning, most of the passengers had already left. The rest continue to stand in line to return their tickets.
Judging by the FlightStats service, more than a hundred flights were delayed in the morning, and over 150 flights were delayed in arrivals. Now the Transport Prosecutor's Office is looking into the situation with plane delays.
