Trump says a resounding “no.” Oil price skyrockets

Donald Trump left no doubt about his position on Iran's latest response to the American peace proposal.
“I just read the response from the so-called 'representatives' of Iran. I don't like it – it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” – Trump wrote on Truth Social.
However, he did not disclose the details of the document, which only increased uncertainty surrounding the further course of negotiations.
Market reaction: oil up
Trump's words immediately had an impact on the markets. The price of Brent crude oil – the global benchmark – increased by over 4%, exceeding USD 105. per barrel.
Investors began to fear that the talks might collapse, increasing the risk of a return to open conflict.
“'Completely unacceptable' rather means an upward signal for the market. If escalation occurs and talks are not resumed, prices may increase significantly” – noted analyst Kevin Book in a comment for the Financial Times.

What is Iran proposing? Here are their requirements
Although Tehran's official response has not been fully disclosed, the first details are emerging.
According to Reuters reports, Iran emphasizes the need to immediately end the war and guarantee no further aggression. He also demands:
- lifting American sanctions,
- ending military operations on all fronts (including Lebanon),
- take control of the Strait of Hormuz,
- ending the trade blockade.
The proposal also includes the idea of temporarily suspending sanctions on oil exports for 30 days and unblocking Iran's frozen assets.
Still no breakthrough. Nuclear program on the wallpaper
Importantly, the presented assumptions do not include specific references to the nuclear program – one of the key points of contention.
Previously, Iran signaled its readiness for talks covering both ending the conflict and nuclear issues, in exchange for the partial easing of sanctions by the US.

Trump: “Iran is playing for time”
The US president accused Tehran of deliberately dragging out negotiations.
He also made a harsh comment on previous relations between the countries and the 2015 nuclear agreement concluded under Barack Obama.
“For 47 years, the Iranians have deceived us, kept us waiting, killed our people… But it will end,” Trump stressed.
Israel: the conflict is not over yet
Additionally, the tension is fueled by the statements of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
“This conflict is not over yet” – he said in one of the interviews.
According to him, Iran still has resources that could be used to produce nuclear weapons in the future.
