The King of Malaysia, who attended Putin's parade, received an expensive gift

On his Facebook profile, the monarch called owning the car a “special honor”, emphasizing that the limousine symbolizes the strong friendship and warm relations between Malaysia and Russia.
The keys were handed over at the “Special Purpose Garage” museum in Moscow. The post did not specify whether the king bought the car or received it as a gift.
Aurus Senat (Project “Cortege”) is named after the Kremlin Senate Tower. The car is equipped with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.4-liter V8 engine and an electric motor generating a total power of 598 hp. The interior is finished with the highest quality materials, and special versions are equipped with armor.
The parade on Red Square on May 9, 2026 lasted approximately 45 minutes, making it one of the shortest in recent history. Moreover, for the first time in 19 years it took place without the use of military equipment. Deputies and ministers were not allowed into the stands; Putin was accompanied only by members of the Security Council, Presidents Matviyenko and Volodin, and the heads of the security services.
Foreign guests were also few and far between leaders of post-Soviet countries were almost completely absent. Only Alexander Lukashenko and the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan came from the former USSR. The leader of Laos, the leaders of self-proclaimed Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and the authorities of Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) were also present at the event.
