12-year-old girl, thrown from her bicycle and repeatedly stabbed with a screwdriver by a neighbor, in Alba Iulia. The victim's father was also assaulted

A 45-year-old man who assaulted a 12-year-old girl and her father, on a street in Alba Iulia, was arrested.
The child was assaulted by a neighbor, due to an older conflict he had with the victim's father. She was hit repeatedly with a screwdriver, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office attached to the Alba Court, quoted by News.ro and Agerpres.
Both the victim and the aggressor were on a bicycle when they crossed on Friday, at noon, in the municipality of Alba Iulia, according to the prosecutors.
“The defendant (…) went threateningly towards the minor, knocked her off the bicycle and started hitting her with his fists and feet on the body, including while the victim was on the ground, grabbing her by the hair and hitting her head against the metal post of a road sign, after which he repeatedly hit her with a screwdriver in the chest and lumbar areas, and finally stuck the screwdriver in her back in the lumbar area, thus causing multiple traumatic injuries – facial hematomas, penetrating right thoracic wound with hemopneumothorax and stab wounds to the left thoracic and right lumbar, multiple excoriations of the upper and lower limbs, which require 50-55 days of medical care to heal, the traumatic thoracic injury endangering his life”, the Public Prosecutor's Office attached to the Alba Court reported on Monday.
The aggressor lost a lawsuit he had with the girl's parents, after the 45-year-old man blocked a street in the residential neighborhood where they live with tires and stones, according to ProTV News.
The decision displeased him and the individual attacked the girl from behind when she was returning from school. Even her father did not escape the anger of the aggressor.
According to the prosecutors, the defendant hit the girl's father with his fist in the face and the screwdriver in the left leg, who was nearby and who intervened in his daughter's defense, causing him traumatic injuries – hematoma and contusion wound on the upper lip, puncture wounds on the left calf and excoriation on the right calf, which require 8-10 days of medical care to heal.
The man, who has no criminal record, was initially detained for 24 hours, and later a judge ordered preventive arrest for 30 days. He is under criminal investigation for attempted murder and assault or other violence.
