The unveiling ceremony of the monument was led by a supporter of the US president, Pastor Mark Burns, who spoke on the X website after the ceremony.
“One of the greatest honors of my life was to preside over the unveiling of the statue of President Donald J. Trump. It amazes me how quickly some people compared this beautiful monument, created and funded by over 6,000 people. patriots, to the golden calf or idol worship. Let me be clear. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone,” he said.

Pastor Mark Burns, the host of the ceremony, in his entry on the X website referred to the criticism that appeared after the unveiling of the monument. “This statue was not created to be worshiped [Donaldowi Trumpowi] Hi. It was created as a symbol of resilience, patriotism, courage and gratitude. It was created to honor a man many may disagree with, but millions of Americans believe he did extraordinary things to make this nation stronger…. My respect for the leader does not replace my reverence for the Lord… This is not idolatry. That's hello. It's gratitude. It's patriotism,” the pastor explained in a lengthy post.
