The Catalans are just one point away from a new championship title and can celebrate even against their great rival. With 88 points and an impressive 10-game winning streak in the championship, Hansi Flick's side are dominating the end of the season and have the chance to turn this El Clasico into a real gala night.

Barcelona, one point away from the title
The victory achieved in the last stage, 2-1 at Osasuna, brought Barcelona decisively closer to the trophy. The Catalans are now 14 points ahead of Real Madrid, but the “galacticos” have a less contested match, so the Blaugrana team only needs to avoid defeat to become mathematically champions.
Moreover, Flick's team can end the season in a historic way. If they win all their remaining games, Barcelona will equal the record of 100 points in a La Liga seasona feat only managed by Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid and Tito Vilanova's Barcelona.
The Catalans are going through one of the best periods of recent years, despite the medical problems. Lamine Yamal, the revelation of the season, is injured and will not feature, while Raphinha could start the match from the bench after his recent return from injury.
In addition, Barcelona can achieve a rare feat: to win all their home games in a full La Liga season.
Real Madrid, season almost compromised
On the other hand, Real Madrid comes to Catalonia with only one option: victory. Any other result automatically makes Barcelona champions.
The “Galacticians” defeated Espanyol in the previous stage, score 2-0, but the success does not change much the situation in the ranking. Alvaro Arbeloa's team is going through an extremely complicated season, already eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Bayern Munich and removed from the King's Cup from the lower stages.
More and more information appeared in the Spanish media about internal tensions and conflicts in training, and the Madrid team is also affected by important injuries. Federico Valverde is out after a head knock suffered during the week, Ferland Mendy will be out until the end of the season and Kylian Mbappe remains uncertain.
However, Madrid have reason to hope. In the championship round, they prevailed 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to goals scored by Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, in a match that broke a negative streak against the rival.
Recent history favors the show
None of the last 12 El Clasicos played in La Liga have ended in a draw, with Real Madrid winning eight of them. However, Barcelona are enjoying excellent form at home and have won their last 10 league games.
In January, the two rivals also met in the final of the Spanish Supercup, where Barcelona won spectacularly, 3-2.
So far, the two great forces of Spanish football have met 263 times. Real Madrid has 107 victories, Barcelona 105, and another 51 duels have ended in a draw.
