A Romanian football legend decided to open a junior academy. He can no longer bear the “disaster” in League 1: “In CFR-Craiova they didn't know how to cross!”

Having reached the age of 76, the former great player, Liță Dumitru, analyzed the footballers in the domestic championship and declared himself disappointed by the skills exhibited by them, in the field, in the official matches. Dumitru watched with interest the direct match between CFR Cluj and Craiova University and was not satisfied with what he saw.

With a thought that does not give him peace, already, for too long, the former midfielder from Rapid and Steaua would like to lay the foundations of a junior academy in Romania.
“I returned to Romania for my last hundred meters. I mean, as long as I can be useful. I want to open an academy, to be able to help. I want to teach children to hit the ball.
I want with all my heart to teach kids to kick the ball and play real football. I want to open an academy where I can express myself and help as much as I can. What do we want from our players? I saw at CFR – Craiova players who don't know how to cross, they don't know how to shoot!”said Liță Dumitru, quoted by digisport.ro.
