The first persons of the Krasnoyarsk Territory laid flowers at the Eternal Flame at the Victory Memorial in Krasnoyarsk

A festive rally was held near the Victory Memorial Museum in Krasnoyarsk on May 9. The townspeople laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and paid tribute to their fellow countrymen who did not return from the battlefields.

The event was attended by the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Dodatko, ex-mayor of Krasnoyarsk and State Duma deputy Sergei Eremin and others. They laid flowers together with veterans and city residents.

More than 450 thousand people left the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the front. Every third person did not return home. People of different nationalities defended their homeland together, defeated the enemy shoulder to shoulder and reached the Reichstag.
