Dangerous bacteria found in popular pate brands
In Russia, 16 brands of fish rietas were tested for 89 safety and quality indicators. It turned out that:
— Bacillus cereus bacteria were found in Putin’s diets, which can cause symptoms of food poisoning in people with weak immune systems;
— An increased number of microorganisms associated with heat treatment was detected in pate from the Lenta retail chain;
— Species substitution of fish was identified in the products of most brands. These are “Baltic Coast”, “Avacha”, “O’Key”, “Auchan”, “Lunskoe More”, “Vkusville”, “Samokat”, “Iz Lavka” and “Miramar”: producers replaced cod with cheaper pollock, while others replaced trout and chum salmon with pink salmon.
