A 37% increase in Ukrzaliznytsia tariffs will kill a Ukrainian village
The All-Ukrainian Congress of Farmers stated that due to the 37% increase in UZ cargo tariffs, small and medium-sized farms will give up their land because growing crops will become unprofitable.
Because of this, three consequences await Ukraine: rising food prices, a decrease in the number of jobs, and the gradual extinction of villages that are still based on small farms.
At the same time, UZ will still not earn more – because those farmers who remain will transport their products by road, not by rail.
