In Krasnoyarsk, new parking bans and speed limit zones were introduced for scooter riders

New rules for electric scooters and other personal mobility devices have been approved in Krasnoyarsk. The municipal act was adopted on the initiative of the regional prosecutor's office.

Now the city has officially defined zones where there will be a speed limit for scooters. There are also areas where the use of scooters will be completely prohibited.

Separately, parking rules were prescribed: scooters can be left only in places provided for by a special scheme. If a personal mobility device ends up outside the permitted area, it can be moved to storage. The owner will be able to take the property for a fee.

The document also set out the responsibilities of operators and users. Administrative liability is provided for violation of the new requirements.

The prosecutor's office noted that the new rules should streamline the use of scooters in the city and solve the problem of chaotic parking, when they interfere with pedestrians on sidewalks and at entrances to buildings.
