The former “decar” of FCSB, Cristian Tănase, believes that Marius Șumudică (55) can be a suitable option for the position of head coach of the Romanian champion.

Left without a head coach after the departure of Mirel Rădoi to Gaziantep, FCSB is looking for a new technician. Among the names circulated in recent weeks, that of Marius Șumudica also appeared in the public space.

Cristian Tănase: “Sumudică would make a nice figure at FCSB”

Cristian Tănase is of the opinion that Marius Șumudica gives confidence to the players and could make a nice figure at FCSB.

“I don't know what the thoughts of FCSB are. It's difficult for a coach to come in this period and assume what will happen. Most of them are waiting for the start of the season, to make transfers, training camps. Now anything can happen at this dam and then everything breaks in his head.

Sumudica seems to me to be a very good coach with a strong personality. He gives confidence to the players and he could make a nice figure at FCSB. I don't know if he can get along with the fans.

There were some statements, gestures and supporters don't forget so quickly. He would have to fight the fans for a few months. He would need important results, but even then I don't think they will forget”, said Cristian Tănase, according to digisport.ro.

For FCSB, the duel with Unirea Slobozia in the Superleague play-out, scheduled for May 11, in Ghencea, follows. At this moment, the team led by the interim Lucian Filip secured their presence in the semi-final of the Conference League qualifying play-off.
