Golin runs for Save the Children at the Bucharest Half Marathon and supports equipping hospitals with vital equipment for newborns

The Golin team is lining up at the start of the Bucharest Half Marathon this weekend and is running to support children born prematurely. By participating in the race, Golin supports the Save the Children Romania Organization in its effort to raise 168,000 euros to equip three hospitals with essential medical equipment.
“We are running because there are children who need a chance to which we, Golin, can contribute. Every kilometer we will do this weekend on the route will be a step towards equipment that can save lives. We are happy to be with Save the Children and all those who choose to get involved,” he said Cristina Butunoi, Executive Director, Golin.
The funds will be directed to the Grigore Alexandrescu hospitals, Filantropia Hospital and Bucharest Emergency University Hospital, where newborns in critical condition are cared for daily.
In these wards, every second and every piece of equipment can make a difference, which is why equipping with modern neonatal intensive care equipment is an urgent need.
“Every day, in these hospitals, doctors are fighting for the lives of children who need specialized care from the first hours. The right equipment can give them this chance. For ten years, this race has brought together runners who contribute to investing in life. We are glad to see more and more people and companies with us, because every contribution translates directly into better care for newborns,” said Gabriela Alexandrescu, Executive President, Save the Children Romania Organization.
