Five forest fires were extinguished in the Krasnoyarsk Territory over the past 24 hours. The total area of the fires was 71.3 hectares, which is comparable to the area of 14 football fields.
The outbreaks operated in Tayozhinsky, Dzerzhinsky, Poymensky and Tinsky forest districts. According to preliminary data, the cause of all fires was careless handling of fire. 121 people and 19 pieces of equipment were involved in the fire extinguishing. Four aircraft were used for air patrols and delivery of forces to fire sites.

Specialists from the regional Forest Fire Center, Forest Guard and forest districts continue to patrol the territory of the state forest fund, taking into account weather conditions.
A multi-stage monitoring system operates in the region. It includes drones, space photography, video surveillance, ground and air patrols. According to experts, this makes it possible to detect up to 95% of fires at an early stage and eliminate them faster.
Residents of the region are urged to follow fire safety rules. It is prohibited to burn dry grass. Violation of the requirements is subject to administrative and criminal liability. Owners of plots that border a forest must clear a strip of at least 10 meters wide from the forest or separate the area with a mineralized strip or fire barrier.
