Earthquake in Romania, Sunday at noon

The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.1 and occurred on Sunday in the Vrancea seismic zone, Buzau county, INFP announced.

The earthquake occurred at 12:14 p.m., at a depth of 134.1 km, according to information published by the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP).

The earthquake occurred near the following cities: 50 km south of Buzău, 60 km northeast of Ploiesti, 62 km east of Braşov, 64 km southeast of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 71 km south of Focşani and 90 km northeast of Târgovişte, according to Agerpres.

Since the beginning of May, there have been three earthquakes in Romania with magnitudes between 2.4 and 3.1 degrees. The most important earthquake this year, with a magnitude of 4.5, took place on February 26, in Vrancea county
