Many people have heard the popular saying: if the fat plant is actively growing, growing leaves and shoots, then this is a sign of profit and financial well-being. And if it suddenly blooms, expect great and pure love.
But in our latitudes it is almost impossible to wait for it to bloom. However, as an experienced florist, author of the popular blog “Your Flower” (18+), assures, if you properly feed Crassula with a special product, the plant will finally release the long-awaited “stars” of inflorescences.
How to feed Crassula for flowering
You will need one cheap tablet, which is in every first aid kit. We are talking about aspirin. Grind 1 tablet into a fine powder, pour it with a liter of warm, settled water and mix thoroughly until completely dissolved.
Then first spill the soil in the pot with plain water to moisten the roots, and then pour a prepared aspirin solution under the root. And be sure to spray the leaves on both sides.
Set the spray bottle to a fine mist mode, since large drops will only harm the fat plant. Apply this fertilizer both at the root and at the leaf 3 times a month.
Why does this work?
Acetylsalicylic acid in this case acts as a mild phytohormone. In a small dose, it creates mild stress for the plant: Crassula “thinks” that hard times are coming, conditions are becoming unfavorable, and automatically turns on the evolutionary mode of “saving the species.”
As a result, the fat woman awakens a powerful immune system, she noticeably grows stronger, hardens, becomes more resilient – and eventually begins to bloom in order to have time to leave offspring before it is too late. This natural mechanism helps to achieve rare and beautiful flowering even in an ordinary city apartment.
