Now the house of prayer, where locals say radicalized imams preached, looks abandoned. The district administration does not know who could have done this.
Construction of the mosque began in 2023. At the end of June, two of Omarov’s sons, along with other militants, attacked an Orthodox church. During the terrorist attack, the famous clergyman in the republic, Father Nikolai, died. As it turned out later, he was one of the main targets of the radicals.
