Journalist Ahmed Abdo, quoted by sport.ro, dedicated an extensive article to the Romanian international: “The necessity of this transfer from a technical point of view is controversial to say the least. Adrian Șut came to Al-Ain in the winter transfer window from FCSB. Even though Al-Ain, as a team, did very well in the second part of the season, the performance of this player raised big question marks among the supporters >. Most of them are puzzled what was the point of this transfer, by which he took the place of a foreigner, and who approved it?”.
The Arab journalist went further: “Adrian Şut left a bitter taste for everyone with what he showed on the field. Basically, the player did not leave his mark on the team's results. And the fans are convinced: Şut is no better, compared to the two players from the Emirates, who are in Al-Ain's squad, who play in the same position as him. At best, Şut can be a reserve player, but one that does not raise the level of the group at all”.
