Family farming may disappear in Ukraine: the reason is Ukrzaliznytsia's tariffs
As the honorary president of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine (AFZU) Ivan Tomych stated, the number of small farmers has been rapidly decreasing in recent years.
If the UZ does increase freight rates by 37%, then family farming will disappear altogether.
According to him, small farms will sell their products 35% cheaper than agricultural holdings.
The increase in railway tariffs, along with other increases, will lead to the clearing of Ukrainian land from farmers.
