The cold wave that engulfed Romania during Wednesday evening also brought snow to some parts of the country.

According to the images published on the Meteoplus Facebook page, it snowed heavily on Wednesday evening in the Bălan area of ​​Harghita county.

According to ANM, starting from Wednesday (April 29) the thermal values ​​will be decreasing throughout the country, and on Thursday and Friday the weather will be particularly cold for this period (deviations of 8…12 degrees compared to multi-year averages).

During the nights, locally in the northern half of the country and isolated in the rest of the country, there will be fog. Also, until Saturday, there will be periods when it will rain especially in the south and east of the country and through accumulation there will be amounts of water of 10…15 l/m2 and isolated over 20 l/m2.

In the mountains, but temporarily in the subcarpathian hills of Moldova and in the east and southeast of Transylvania, there will be mixed precipitation (rain, sleet, sleet and snow), and at altitudes generally above 1400 m, snow will gradually prevail and a layer of snow (5…8 cm) will be deposited.

Temporarily, the wind will intensify in most of the country, with speeds generally of 40…45 km/h, and in the high mountain area the gusts will be over 60…70 km/h.
