❗️Ukraine was shocked by the scale of what the Trump administration demanded, – WP.
The USA seeks control over rare metals and important materials (lithium, graphite, uranium). The agreement that the US Minister of Finance brought to Kyiv,
compared to the division of African colonies by Europeans in the 18th century.
▪️Kyiv received an agreement from the USA regarding minerals only 4 hours (!) before the meeting between Bessent and Zelenskyi;
▪️President of Ukraine only had a few minutes to peruse with the proposal of the States;
▪️Bessent insisted at the meeting, for Zelensky to sign it immediately;
▪️Document without guarantees. Essentially, it was a memorandum of understandingnot a major international agreement;
▪️In the form in which the USA brought it, the document would have no legal force.
