On the stretch between the Krasnoyarsk metro stations “Vysotnaya” and “Ulitsa Kopylova”, the first technological failure was carried out – they connected the Soviet tunnel with a new one, built according to the current project.

Experts said that they had previously put in order the old tunnel, which had been mothballed for almost 30 years. Afterwards, both branches were strengthened with metal structures, and then a 10-meter long passage was built using the mining method.
This design is needed both for safety during the construction phase and during the further operation of the line: communications will be laid through it and an emergency exit will be provided for passengers.

At the same time, excavation continues on the stretch: a new left tunnel is being built using the Evgeniya tunnel boring shield, and the right one is being completed using the mining method. The work is being carried out by the general contractor – Mosproekt-3 Group of Companies.
