Russia has softened the punishment for foreign citizens and stateless persons who participate in a special operation on the side of the Russian Federation. As Om1 Novosibirsk writes, amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses were signed on March 23, and now they have come into force.
Those who served under contract in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation or other military formations and participated in hostilities will no longer be expelled from the country for administrative violations.
Instead, they will be given a fine within the sanction of the article or compulsory work for a period of 100 to 200 hours.
In addition, special rules apply for this category in case of repeated or gross violation of the rules of conduct for spectators at sporting competitions. The court will be able to ban them from attending such matches for a period of one to seven years.
