US President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to the lowest level of his second term at the helm of the White House, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll released on April 28.
Trump's approval rating has fallen two percentage points over the past week, to 34%, due to the ongoing war with Iran and growing concerns about rising costs of living.
The agency notes that most of the responses from respondents were received before the incident at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner on the night of April 27. However, it is not clear whether another assassination attempt on Trump will boost his approval rating.
Reuters recalls that Trump's approval rating in January 2025, shortly after taking office, was 47%. However, after the outbreak of hostilities against Iran, which led to higher prices for fuel and other goods, his popularity took a serious hit.
