Advisor to the mayor of Sochi turned out to be the leader of an organized crime group that extorted money for places in the cemetery — REN TV
The group included officials of the city administration, some businessmen and people associated with them. Now they are conducting more than 30 searches, and criminal cases have been opened.
The Sochi administration confirmed that an investigation is underway and assured that they will provide the necessary assistance.
For a place in the cemetery, the Sochi organized crime group led by Rodion Pishchur asked from 200 thousand to 3 million rubles: preliminary, the group’s monthly income was from 10 to 15 million rubles per month.
As reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, during the searches more than 15 million rubles were seized, as well as foreign money, documents and other items.
