Viktor Orban will not leave empty-handed. They will pay him a huge severance package

Viktor Orban will receive a three-month severance pay for a parliamentarian and a six-month severance pay for the head of government. Despite losing his position, he will be able to use state privileges, such as a company car with a driver for 16 years and an office with a two-person secretariat for eight years.
Viktor Orban, however, must be careful. According to the regulations, a former prime minister may lose his severance pay if he takes up a managerial position in a state-controlled company within six months.

According to the 24.hu portal, the Hungarian Prime Minister was not one of the best-paid members of his government. Several staff secretaries and deputy secretaries of state in the Ministry of National Economy reporting to Marton Nagy earned much more – some even over 10 million forints gross per month (over PLN 116,000).

At the same time, Hungarian media such as VSquare and 444 report on the transfer of assets by people close to Orban. These actions are said to be related to fears of a potential takeover, freezing or nationalization by the new government. The procedure was supposed to start in March, before the parliamentary elections.
