US Treasury Secretary warns allies. “Cooperation is a risk”

Over the weekend, Iran announced the resumption of some commercial international flights. “Working with sanctioned Iranian airlines carries the risk of exposure to US sanctions. “Foreign governments should take all steps to ensure that companies under their jurisdiction do not provide services to these aircraft, including jet fuel, catering, landing fees and maintenance,” Bessent said in a statement to the Wall Street Journal.
“Treasury will exert maximum pressure on Iran and will not hesitate to take action against third parties that facilitate or conduct business with Iranian entities.“- he added.
Iranian state television reported that some commercial flights abroad resumed last weekend for the first time since the beginning of the war with the US and Israel. On Saturday, planes to Turkey, Oman and Saudi Arabia took off from Tehran.
The US Treasury Department is conducting Operation Economic Fury, which is intended to increase economic pressure on Iranians. On Friday, as part of these actions, further sanctions were announced on entities related to Iran.
