In a Facebook post, the social democratic leader welcomed the decision to block the alienation of profits in the case of multinationals and comes with a set of proposals to introduce higher taxes for certain categories, one of them referring to the overdue of the big assets.
“I had a first meeting today with the Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, during which I approached the situation of public finances.
We welcome the measure that provides for blocking the alienation of profits in the case of multinationals, as the first stage of a broader reform regarding a fair fiscal system.
I think it is a necessary step, but not enough.
We must continue in this direction to reduce fiscal optimizations so that the burden of austerity is not only placed on the shoulders of vulnerable persons and the middle class.
We have agreed to carry out impact analyzes regarding:
•
Litaxing of large assets (tripling tax on big wealth)
• Increasing the taxation of earnings made from short -term capital speculation
• increasing tax from 10% to 16% on earnings from cryptocurrency income
• Increase of fines for each employee without a employment contract
• shorter terms for limiting the period when a company may remain in insolvency
•
Prohibition of the establishment of new companies by insolvency associates/administrators.
I appreciate the opening of the Minister of Finance to identify, along with our specialists, the most suitable measurei to overcome this moment.
A vital point remains the continuation of the big infrastructure projects and public investments through the Anghel Saligny national program. The budget rectification must take into account the development needs of Romania.
We will continue these consultations, in the next period, because it is important to come up with a relaunch program for the Romanian economy ”, Grindeanu wrote on the Facebook page.
The Ministry of Finance presented today the “package 2” of the fiscal reform, which aims to reduce the bureaucracy, eliminate inactive companies, higher taxes for multinationals and increase the minimum share capital.
