The Boguchanskaya HPP team took 1st place in the intellectual game organized by the Krasnoyarsk regional organization of the All-Russian Electric Trade Union.
World Day for Safety and Health at Work has been celebrated on April 28 at the initiative of the International Labor Organization since 2003. The task of trade unions on this day is to draw attention to the issues of preventing injuries at work. A positive workplace safety culture means that both management and employees value a safe and healthy working environment and make efforts to ensure it.
Competitions for experts in occupational health and safety standards in the Brain Ring format are held every year on the eve of World Occupational Safety and Health Day. Teams from eight energy enterprises in the region took part in the traditional tournament.
The main goal of the organizers is to increase the level of knowledge and responsibility of power engineers, comply with the rules and requirements of labor protection at enterprises, and reduce the risk of industrial injuries.
To participate in the tournament, enterprises, which include generating (thermal stations and hydroelectric power plants), network and sales companies, form teams of six employees under the age of 40. The core of the Boguchanskaya HPP team was made up of experienced experts: turbine room shift supervisor Boris Rozhkov, metrology engineer Oksana Volchek, occupational safety specialist Ekaterina Vlasova and hydraulic unit operator Anton Pletenkin.
Young specialists, hydraulic unit operators Zakhar Shevkunov and Andrey Vasin, who took part in the representative tournament for the first time, also performed well.
The Boguchanskaya HPP team demonstrated knowledge and the will to win from the very beginning. Power engineers from Kodinsk defeated the team of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 in the qualifying stage, and won the match with the Krasnoyarskenergo team in the semifinals. In the final, where the teams of the Boguchanskaya and Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power stations met, captain Boris Rozhkov took advantage of the tournament rules and was left alone at the table – if the player gives the correct answers, this gives additional points. Although his opponent from the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station team also tried to use this chance, Boris Rozhkov’s answers were more accurate and for the first time brought the Boguchanskaya Hydroelectric Power Station the main award.
Labor protection and industrial safety are an absolute priority for all employees of the Boguchanskaya HPP. The company has introduced modern training standards that are mandatory for everyone, from ordinary specialists to senior managers. The Boguchanskaya HPP team became the winner of the regional tournament four times, and the station employees repeatedly received the titles of best players. The knowledge of Kodin power engineers was also recognized at the All-Russian competitions of operational personnel, where operatives of the Boguchanskaya HPP demonstrate high results.
