Rosselkhoznadzor found a fivefold excess of pesticides in fruits and vegetables from Armenia. For certain substances the norm was exceeded by 58 times. According to Mash, there are already 16 suppliers in the pipeline. All this is exactly after the Armenian-American military exercises Eagle Partner 2024, which took place in the republic.
They lasted 10 days and ended on July 24. In addition, the Armenian authorities began to purchase French weapons and suspended the country's membership in the CSTO. And today an online meeting of Rosselkhoznadzor with colleagues from Armenia took place.
It was announced that cases of export of unsafe products to the Russian Federation have become more frequent. In addition, half of what was imported in 2024 did not pass quarantine phytosanitary control. Those who violated were asked not to issue any more relevant certificates. And already in August our specialists will go to the country to check local production on these issues. For reference: more than 90% of fruits and vegetables from Armenia go to Russia. These are apricots, apples, tomatoes and peppers.
