Moscow police officers were required to carry mini-fire extinguishers with them at all times. After the head of the Volna Central Research Institute attempted to burn himself near the mausoleum of V.I. Lenin on Red Square.
As Mash learned, now riot police officers and employees of the second special regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will always have red spray cans with them. The first ones got portable fire extinguishers back in 2020; they took them with them only to unsanctioned rallies. In case during mass riots the crowd throws Molotov cocktails.
Now they will carry it with them every day. But not only the special forces detachment, but also other employees of the department who serve in the center of the capital and outside the Garden Ring.
